Sam and Maria Sweiss of our local San Francisco Scope City store really know their optics. Hi everybody, I am an Airline Pilot and last week while my layover at San Francisco, I purchased a Gemini System for my G-11 mount, that I`ve been using with my C-11 Telescope, I get it from Sam at San Francisco store. I have to tell that I got all the possible advice and attention from him and his team. But when I returned to Guadalajara and installed the system, a motor coupler was missing. Great issue, it was difficult for me to return to San Francisco, so I e-mailed Sam to let him know. And this is the more interesting thing, Sam took a couple of actions and solved the problem immediately, he got me a new coupler direct from the factory, sending it straight to me. This was my first time at this store, and I am impressed and pleased with the customer service, attention and kindness that Sam, Elliot and Jorge showed to me. Don`t stop, keep going guys, you already got one more customer.

Twentyfive years ago I was gifted with a pair of Zeiss binoculars. As a birdwatcher and outdoors woman they were much used, much loved and suffered much wear and tear. In December last year I took them to Scope City, San Francisco, hoping against hope that something might be done to repair and refurbish them. Sam waxed enthusiastic about resurrecting such a classic set of optics, consulted with his experts, and now I have reclaimed my much-valued binoculars in splendid condition, fit for another 25 years of use. When my son turned 8, he developed a huge interest in astronomy and we started with a set of giant binos. We agreed that we needed to get a scope as soon as possible, so I did extensive research into scopes for beginners. I had settled on an 8" dob for a starter scope. Everyone was backordered on the web for the skywatcher collapsible except Scopecity. I called the local Scopecity shop in Costa Mesa and spoke with Mike, the store manager, on the phone who said they had one left in another shop and could get it sent over there. I went into the shop to talk further (my first time in Scopecity) and was introduced to their staff. I had a hard time leaving that day after talking with them extensively about some great choices. I paid for the scope that day and had it in a couple days time along with a lesson in collimation and much needed general help with a first dob. The scope is awesome, but more so was the whole purchasing experience at Scopecity. I have never been treated better as a customer at any store in my life. Since then, I have made several more purchases and will continue to do so from Scopecity whenever I can. They are not pushy at all in sales and have been top notch in helping me start what I hope is a long interest in Astronomy for my son and myself. Scopecity has me hooked as a customer.
